How to upgrade

I'm just unsure of how to do this.

I'm currently on 3.6.8 but am wanting to upgrade to the 3.7 one's.

But I am just wondering if there is a way without having to delete the files and then upload the new ones and then import the old database.

Can you just overwrite all the old files with the upgraded ones and edit the config with the same info?

Remember to always make a backup

Yes, just overwrite old files, edit the config and run install/upgrade.php
NOTE:
Delete the install.php from install/ folder before you run upgrade.php
