I have completed the basic things of optimization for my new site now i am going to submit my site in Directory, Search Engine..Anyone tel me that what i forget to do in basic and what basic things should be for new site.. I have completed Meta tag, Site containt, Site error, Site internal link page, Site Map.Anything i forget here please tel me and also tel me which pages important to submit. Here my new site name:- http://www.callcentersus.com[/quote]I can't tell from you source code if you are using any <Hx> tags they maybe used in your css files....but this will definately guide the spiders to your most important words. Also I have noticed that using sub-directories and links pointing to them in the form of http://www.yoursite/yourfolder1/ is very effective in getting credit for backlinks from you own site. You'll need a index.htm file in the root of each sub folder so the user get a page to view.Let me be more specific:You have a page called: http://www.callcentersus.com/jobs.phpCreate a folder called jobs in the root of you domain. Copy the jobs.php file to that folder and rename it to index.php. Link to it from your menu at the bottom of the page like this: http://www.callcentersus.com/jobs/Google will then give you credit for a backlink to this page.Submitt you links/site map page to the search engines and let it find your site entrance from that page...it will tend to rank you higher if it finds a page on its own. Also if you get links from other sites submit their pages as well. Don't rely on them to submit themcool trick, seems a bit heafty for one backlink tho!Actually the backlinking will have a cascading effect....If you create each link at the bottom of your page using the above technic you will get sublinks from each page. So if you have say 5 link items at the bottom of your page you will get 20+ back links. It will index one page say like the jobs page. That will have 4 sublinks to you other link items. Each one of those items will then have 4 back links and so on....make sure to use the full path in your link not the relative pathSee an example here: http://www.google.com/search?q=link:htt ... estate.comIt's worth the time. Also keep in mind that you have to first get your page rank up to a 4 then the internal links on your site will be recognized. This really only pertains to google.I'm not sure about the necessity for folders in getting google to report backlinks. From my understanding, Google will report a backlink for every page with a PR of 4 or higher, even if its an extra file in the same directory. This can be seen on a bunch of websites too.I don't see that on mine. Not to say what your saying is not correct....I agree completely. But here the example. Check backlinks on http://www.telluridebroker.com. It only lists the .com as being a backlink....which in it self doesn't make sense. But the site map for this site is a pr4 and it's nowhere to be foulnd on the backlinks results. On the other hand at link:www.telluride-co-real-estate.com I see backlink credit for every pr4 link that was created using the http://www.yourdomin.com/folder/ format. Odd eh Hmm. I see what you're saying. The only difference I see, is that your site_map page has a lot of links, and also, if you check the pages it links to, they also don't report the site_map page in their list of backlinks. This either means, that Google also takes the weight of each link into account (in which case, a pr of 4 for your site_map isn't enough to support each link showing up), or in the worst case, that your site_map triggers a spam filter because it lists too many links for the links to count.Typically, you shouldn't have more than 50 links leaving a page for it to be effective, so that could be the problem there.Yeah....I need to fix that. Only thing I'm worried about is that it seems if the site entrance is a pr4 pages below it seem to be pr3 and lower. If I break my site map into catagories and have links to each they may drop to pr2. Anybody know if this is true Or will that have no bearing on my main page PR.Here's an article I found on using comment tags for SEO: http://www.seochat.com/articles/24/page1.htmlAnyone have an opinion on this?Would it be of any benefit to submit to google those pages that are deep into a website that contain links to my sites. Will they have a better chance of getting crawled...possibly in a timely manner.Updated my site map recently to break apart a 100+ link page into three 50 or so links pages. My existing link page was a PR4. Since the rebuild that pages has dropped to PR3 and the new pages are PR0. I used demographic groupings for the links My local area, US area and International links. I put my highest PR linked sites on the page with my site links. I linked the other 3 link pages from here. The site map is linked from the home page of the site. Any suggestions: http://www.telluridebroker.com/site_map.htm
