How to pass a Integer to Access

I can connect to Microsoft Access. But when I trie to start a search query, i get an errormessage, that sounds like this, types don't match. I defiened an Integer input field, and want too look this field up in the Access Database, where the field is defined as a long integer. Could somebody tell me what to do, to get a correct query.
