How to move hosts?

How can I move hosts so I'll have everything I had before?

Back everything up.

1) Download Database from your old host. Using cPanel or phpMyAdmin
2) Download Forum files from your old host.
3) Upload forum files to new host.
4) Import database to your new host in cPanel or phpMyAdmin.

Not quite,

Change your config.php file to point to the new database location.

Assuming that everything else is consistent with the old location you should be able to login to your admincp.

You may need to run tools.php if your new site comes up with a blanks screen when you try to access admincp the first time to remove any stale cookies that might be in cache.

A good idea is to run update counters when you do a move to resynch every thing to the new site.
