How to make this stand vertically? HTML

I am following this tutorial: http://line25.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-pure-css-dropdown-menu to make a dropdown menu. But I was wondering if there was a way to make this so it appears on the left side, one button on top of the other, instead of on the top, where the buttons are next to each other. Thank you
