How To Have 2 Usergroup Share Permissions?

Ok, so on my forum I have a few user groups. One of them is a pay membership where you can change your title, avatar and be able to search.

The other is a VIP membership given to very active posters where you are able to view hidden content hidden by the HideHack.

Anyway, is there a way I can make it so members who are in the paid user group can have the VIP usergroup permissions too?

I tried using "Add to addition usergroup" but that doesnt give the permissions of the VIP usergroup.

Hopefully that makes sense to someone.

It makes plenty of sense but the solution is ever so simple, instead of having to put users in 2 usergroups, since being a paid member on your site gains them VIP access, why not add the VIP access such as hidden content & forums permissions to the PAID group? This way you wont manually need to add them to the additional groups & it will save on the cluster.

Doing this will also serve as another purpose: Statistics. Having users in just the paid group will easily allow you to see who has paid without searching through VIP access. If I paid on your forum & gained VIP without actually posting, I am not truely earning VIP access as an active user?

So I say, for a simple solution just add the permissions to the Paid group that allows them to see all the inforamtion a VIP user can see & Viola!

Well, the only thing that VIP has that PAID doesn't is showing hidden content. And VIP is a temporary incentive that people get.
So, I would need it where they would pay for the PAID access, but need be it get tempory VIP access, which is basically no hidehack

Right... Which is why I said just give the hidehack permission to the PAID users.

You must have something set up incorrectly as adding the VIP group as an additional user group (to the paid user group) SHOULD inherit the permission set. I don't know why they are not.
