Hey..I'm all new in the SEO-world, so If I say something wrong, pleas tell me right hehe..I have heard that a good PageRank would give you a better placing at google, is that true or what ?..And how do I get good PageRank ?..I know that I need to get some backlinks (link to my site from another site, right?
)..I have heard that one can get some software or something to help doing that..My site is about a half year old, and when I search it at google ("fraende.dk") then I just get a Catched file of my old Photo Portfolio, at the same URL..How do I get my new site in here, instead ?..Anybody who can help, or got some other nice SEO-tips ?..The only thing I have done are META codes (Description, Keywords, Author)..please help ..Page rank doesn't effect where you appear in the serps.It does nothing really. It's just an indication of the amount and quality of backlinks you have.Hmm.. It should, acording to google..If you read about PageRank on google, then what they say are, that the better PageRank you got, the more often the "googlebot" come to your site and update it or something.. It should be good :/...But how do I make it my NEW site that shows up, and not the old Portfolio thing ? :/ ..Google don't say that, They say pagrank is one of the factors used to decide where you appear in SERPS.But test it yourself, do a search for any term and look at the pagerank of the sites that show up. very rarely will the results be in order of pagerank.The frequency of visits you get from googlebot varies on the amount of backlinks you have.So pagerank and googlebot visits have the same cause, but they don't cause each other. The pagerank doesn't cause the googlebot to visit.Pagerank is nothing more than an indication of how many backlinks you have and the quality of those backlinks.To get a new site listed just be patient. Google will find you eventually, get backlinks. But don't worry about PR.Hmm oki.. I have added myself to dmoz now .. I must be having a real blonde day today cause i didn't understand any of the above I joined Google adsence 2 days ago but not much happened yet apart from click price gone up 4 times!
