Do search engine optimization.... as for the resources, do your own research. Btw, this forum can provide some of the things you need, you just have to search and read them. I would first suggest to do some on page optimization of your site. After that I suggest blog commenting, forum posting, social bookmarking, and article submission. Just make sure that when you leave comments you stay on topic and say something useful or interesting. Don't limit yourself to "good post" blog spam comments. making backlinks is always the same thing. It just finding creative ways to get your link out there on the internet.
