how to convert from smf to vbulletin?

are you really sure you want to do that :S

I did that and I was so stupid to use smf in the first place, but converting it to vb... even more...

Search for the solutions here on the forum. I had the same thread some time ago...

Using IMPEX is the only way to do that

and im trying to convert my test forum for now just for checking that will it make bugs on forum or will convert smoothly..

well i didnt know that theme can also b converted.. it will be very great if i could have the previous theme too.. i want to convert smf forum to vbulletin and i just came to know that it could be possible with imPex..

I found this forum very helpfull hope some one will help me in converting.
 
Please can any one provide the full detail i mean provide the full explanation step by step.. im a newbie in conversion process..

Also should i install vbulletin and smf on same server and then i should upload impex and use it or there no need of installtion of vb on the server having SMF so that impex will do evry thing...

I really need your guideness...
 
What should be the next step after impex..cuz nothing happend to vb.. and please reply me guys... Any one alive around here...
 
You most edit the config file that is included in the includes map. When you have that done, then you can use impex. In the first column of database gegevens you typing the VB and in the second from SMF
