How to change Online/Offline status picture

I made a new Online and Offline picture, and would like to use it.
I know where to put it, but the image link just comes up.

Upload it to your FTP in

/forums/images/statusicon or any skin you want the status icon changed upload it to the skins "statusicon" folder.

Must be named:
user_online.gif
user_offline.gif

FTP?? A little confused there.
I made lightning bults for my online status, and I wanted to replace them with the big bullets that come up green and grey.
Wait, do you mean like forums/users/ablums/ something? Eh I'm not so good with this.

Use some free FTP program...
Name your new images for online/offline status like default one:
user_online.gif
user_offline.gif

And with some FTP program upload them to yourforum//images/statusicon/
overwrite default one
