how to change forum domain

Hi, how do I change the domain of the forums ( vbulletin ) for an example the link usually goes www.domain.com/forums

I want it to be like www.forums.domain.com
how do I do that?

i think u hav to change it frm the control panel of the site frm where you bought the domain...

actually if you got a host with cpanel you can setup subdomains there but I have tried before and it seems to only work when you installa new forum maybe someone know a little more about this just have a little patience

Assuming you already have a www.domain.com, you can make a sub-domain called forum.domain.com, also accessible with www.forum.domain.com. Now you have to point this sub-domain at a directory.

If your forum is installed in a directory off of your public_html, you can point to that directory. The directory you point to (/forum) should have an index.html. If you're using a front-end and have named your forum's index.html to something else, you may have to have a rewrite rule in a .htaccess file so that the sub-domain will point to the renamed file.
