Help me, please. How to advance a forum? Probably there are any ideas? 1. Make proper categories in your forum and start posting articles there.
2. Generate your forum sitemap and submit in Google Sitemap.
3. Do quality relevant link exchange. First look at some top forums in your niche. Look what categories they have. What posts they make. Learn from them, how they engage their users and lure them into posting.
You can take ideas from them and create categories in addition to your own.
If you are using vbulletin as a forum software, then you can subscribe to some good feeds and your forum will be updated by those feeds automatically. This is done only in the beginning to increase the number of posts. When the forum begins to build on the users' efforts, gradually start removing the feeds so that the posts remain balanced. Or you can even choose to let them be.
You need to have some good stuff there to help people around. Be a good and helping admin instead of being one with tons of attitude. Help every user in any manner you can.

How many people are currently active on your forum? If there aren't many, you probably want to hire some people to write posts for you. Nobody wants to hang out in a dead forum. That's just how it is. Once your posts look good, you'll want to advertise your forum. I have also notice that some of the forum owners pays for the post first to get it popular.
