How to add thank you hack to recipe forum ?

I have vBRecipe 2.6 http://www.vbteam.info/vb-3-7-x-addons-template-modifications/7899-vbrecipe-version-2-4-a.html (works great), but how can I add the post thank you mod http://www.vbteam.info/vb-3-8-x-addons-template-modifications/11168-ajax-post-thank-you-hack.html to the forum using the recipe mod. The thank you hack works in all my other forums and also works in all replies in the recipe forum just not the original post.
