Hello Folks,

Few days ago I added wordpress to my website, so its like "mysite.com/blog"
Now I want to add google analytics code on the blog, though I could not find its source file so I need your help. How can I add analytics code on my word press blog?

Thankyou! Google analytic code is a java script and you may past it in to header section of your blog.
After pasting it wait for 24 hrs because it takes 24 hrs to track your web site. Quote: Originally Posted by govindseo Google analytic code is a java script and you may past it in to header section of your blog.

I guess you are pointing towards Blogger.com but here I have problem with wordpress blog that I have installed on my domain. Go to your remote-server blog directory, find your header.php or sidebar.php or footer.php template file and insert the GA code into the file.
Done. Just put it inside the <body> tag of your index. Just don't put it below the </body> It will do fine. You can also add the script on the footer on your template and it will automatically track the transaction of your pages. it's easy log in your blogger account and go to design and edit html and past your google analytic code on before closing </body> tag. If I am not wrong then there is a option of tools and in there you can see a google, yahoo and bing webmaster code. And you will find a help over there. Thankyou! I use a plugin for my wordpress blog instead of manually adding the code in. This the site i downloaded the plugin.

oratransplant.nl/uga/ For wordpress blog or platform, just insert it before the </head> tag.

Some wordpress templates also allow adding those kind of codes, like the google analytics on their pre created widgets. same as the site you have to insert google analytic code to blog Quote: Originally Posted by Fonda same as the site you have to insert google analytic code to blog Yes, you can follow the instructions in google analytics page and usually you can put their codes in the bottom part of your blogs code. Sorry for the late! It was a very busy schedule.

oratransplant.nl/uga/ Hi, the plugin was handy, its called ultimate google analytics. I installed it properly and it was asking for my GA account id to activate tracking. Right now waiting for to view results.

Thank you for your support.

@All other guys

I could not find any html code in index.php, header, side bar, footer etc to insert my ga script rather it was 3-4 lines of php codes were written inside when in opened them through Dreamweaver. I dont know how you guys are managed to do that.

Thank you for your reply! Insite the <body> will be fine enough, no need to place it here or there. well i also use wordpress, i dont see any wrong in using plugin to automatically place the code in your site you can use anylatics in your blog .for that go to dashboard>themes>castomize ,here you will find the optinon for codes put this here if you still having trouble from doing it, try using other alternatives like statcounter..totally easy to use...you can just add the code from your sidebar. How about

The old way:
