Ive mentioned on here a few times about my problems with outsourcing my SEO work and dropping down the google rankings. I wont go into it now but were left at page 4 on google. Im putting a lot of work into SEO and Im certain Im doing a lot more than any of my competitors and Im working night and day creating some good quality backlinks etc. I'm just wondering how long it could take to get up to page 1 (I know theres no exact science to this). Im in quite a small market area and there isnt a high competition, so how long could it possibly take to get to page 1 if things are done right? Are we talking weeks, months or years? The serps (search engine results pages) are continually updating, so how quickly Google rankings change isn't the issue here. It's really just a matter of getting all of your ducks in a row.
Although I appreciate your frustration, your question is virtually impossible to answer because there is so much involved. The top serps for your selected key phrase may be sites that are several years old with thousands upon thousands of quality backlinks.
Because of this, I often recommend that site owners are not just focused on what they consider top keywords, but rather that they direct their focus to niche key phrase (long tail keywords) within their specific market while they continue to increase the strength of their site. You will likely be shocked to discover how much money is hiding within the low hanging fruit.
It was just a hyperthetical question really, wondering what the quickest time you would imagine to do this? Id there a "if your lucky it could be X amoun t of time?" or is there just no way of even guessing? Quote: Originally Posted by visionwindowfilms

Well, if you're site is new and just recently indexed in Google, it will be constantly going up and down in the SERPs, but will slow down when Google feels it's found your proper place in the rankings for time being.
When I started my webmaster blog, it was constantly going back and forth between pages 1-3 for keyword "webmaster blog" updating about once every 24 hours. However, over time I ended up on 1st page for the keyword and it updated about once a week.
May be different from site to site. maybe your keywords is too heat, I suggest you change another keyword and SEO. Hi
google ranking can change with the good keywords and with the traffic. and traffic can capture to do seo forum posting, blog posting, artical writing.
Thanks
Regards
