How much is ideal keyword density?

Hello,

I was wondering how many times I should use certain keywords on my main page?

Someone in this forum recently said 1 %, however, I have seen sites even recently having at least 5 % per main page, some even 10 % and rank well on Google...

Thanks in advance,

Keyword density, although may seem to be of importance, especially if you approach web optimization from on page aspects, but in reality we can come to this conclusion that the percentage of terms appearing on specific pages may not have big impacts on their overall web ranks on search engines, especially Google which is famous because of its off-page-favoring system among many people. No matter your keyword density is 1% or 15% you may not find shocking differences in ranking.

Try completely forgetting about the numbers and percents in here and instead focus on producing contents, adding articles and informative bits of data to your website in a totally user-friendly style, staying away from ideas to artificially affect search engines robots because sometimes by adding too many words to a single page, some temporary drops in ranks may also be anticipated as Google may think you are trying to trick its algorithm by stuffing too many terms into your web pages.
