hi i have a website in a very smalll niche with few competitive unoptomized pages. Its just new and has a page rank zero however recently I made links with a good amount of websites and directories that are related to my niche with page ranks of between 2 to 5. How much will this help my website move up in google? I have a feeling it will help a lot could it? my content is all unique as well. If they are good high quality backlinks they will certainly help. Every case will be different, you can't predict how high your site will move. Keep on building good quality backlinks, and the SERPs will sort themselves out. That is really great to hear and still if they are some good back links then surely you will have some good pr but it may take some time so b calm and wait and keep doing off page optimization like blog commenting directory submission and book marking thanks guys for those helpful responses
I will try the blog commenting and bookmarking.. although I heard somewhere that my site's pr will get banned if I post more than 200 links every month... As long as those websites that links to you also have quality contents and related to what you offer, there is a large chance that they can give your website enough authority to place in SERPs.

Also, there's a theory that PR juice can be pass on to your website from a Authority pages. Its good to know that you are getting high quality backlinks but you should also use your keyword in the anchor text. Using your keyword in the anchor text is really important to optimize a keyword. As you have stated that you web pages have unique contents, you will definitely get advantage over duplicated. Second, you told that you have submitted your website to high PR websites, range from 2 to 5, which means that you will get link juice which will help you to increase your PR early. As per my opinion you you should take edu and org backlinks that is very useful. What matters is the actual pagerank of the page where your link is placed. Only this will help you with good rankings on SERP. However, if your keywords are not competitive, then it might give a slight boost to your site. Moreover, directories submission doesn't help much in rankings. It will only diversify your link building campaign and give a natural look to SE. Blog commenting can help but look for pages with actual pagerank and less existing comments. That will help! I do not know if PR is so important. I see the results with PR 0 sites are first. I think what Google shows is not what is real. It is actually difficult to answer your question, because no one except Google itself on how much value will they give on a link that will affect the search engine rankings... but i believe, it will affect on Page Rank, since you got good and quality backlinks from good websites. create the squidoo lances and hub pages definitely you'll good result on your website. try it.

[removed] High quality back link is useful to increase the PR of a site and also ranking in measure search engine..
To get this we have to do link building in those site which are the back link of the top competitors. Simple answer, if those links back return you with click through rate and low bounce rate. Then it is very quality to your site. Your strategy sounds good and organic too... It should work.

As such there is no defined number of backlinks to get in a month.
But make sure your linkbuilding strategy is organic enough. Stay away from link building packages and link blasting services, they may lead to penalty. You can always monitor the results brought by the backlinks in Google Analytics>Reffering sites. Sadly this thread was not started because xenon2010 wondered how back links would help his site, it was started because he sells software created specifically to target vbulletin forums with spangles and he hoped to have a nice keyword laden argument supporting his product to accompany the v7n signature he is never going to get.

Everyone knows decent back links will help their site. That's the basis of the entire SE marketing industry. Hopefully they also know trying to add back links by bot spam will do for their site what we're about to do for xenon2010s login.

Those that patiently build quality back links to a good website will be rewarded with decent SERPS. Those that try to take shortened generally don't. Pretty simple, and most of our members already know this.
