Okay so here's the background information..
I have a site that is 1.5 months old.. Currently it has 888 backlinks being shown in Yahoo site explorer.
From that 888, there would be about 500 links coming from 3 different sources where they have done a site wide sidebar link linking to my site.. The rest are coming from directories, articles marketing etc..
Now my question is, is that too many links in such a short space of time, should I be asking for the person linking to me to remove those links?
ta Please tell about your current ranking on Google. If Google ranks your website well now, its not needed that you worry about your backlinks unless you made them in a very short time, for example one week. The links have been generated in about 5 weeks..
Rankings range depending on the competition.. I currently have have 9 top 10 rankings. I don't think your current number of links would matter.. it is how you started building links. you can start small like 50 links a week then build more like 100 links the succeeding week.
