How many article directories do you submit to? I know there are hundreds of them out there. Do you focus on just a handful of the major ones like Ezinearticles or Goarticles, or do you submit to hundreds of them? There are thousands of them but I would prefer for a few quality article directories instead.
I think it would better to keep each article under those ones uniqueness as much as possible. Here is my personal list.

If they find the same article on goarticles would they reject? Puripong is right. Dont just submit to all. Try and pick quality ones that really will benifit your web page. totally agree with Puripong.. but it still up to you.. what i don't like about submitting to some article sites is it outrank your own site if publish it on your site.. You can submit to as many article directories as you can. Article Blast and Article Factory are among famous directories. You can submit your article over there also.
But you should select article directories on the basis of the amount of exposure your article gets there.

I also submit only to quality directories as it gives you a better SEO ranking. Article Submission is really effective in SEO.. If you are efficient skills you can make the article as your own. But keep your article as fresh and unique, use quality content for your article and submit it in good article submission sites which has high PR.. I suggest you to do 10 to 12 submissions per day.. Here are some of the top most article sites: Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Article Dashboard, Article City, Idea Marketers, Articles Base, iSnare, Article Mark, Article Alley. It's the matter of generating traffic via submitting your articles to the directories. At some points, submitting to as many directories and portals could be recommended while at other times the recommendation could be like writing several new and original articles and then submitting them to a few handpicked portals. Although as lot has been already said about the results to be gained, but you need to do the job manually in order to really examine the marketing results gained, how many people have been visiting your site after reading the articles, etc. I also just stick with the top 20 article directories, I submit unique articles to the top article directories like ezine and goarticles and then submit the spun version of these articles to the rest of the directories. Though there are 100s of these directories, not all are worth the effort and just a waste of time. Also, some article directories does not notify you when your article has been approved so be sure to check it every now and then and be sure that the link from those directories are being indexed by Google because if it's not, then its useless.
