How long does google take 2 notice a change in your website?

I posted my website up on this forum for a website review and got lots of great critique. Thanks to all.I took a deep breath on thursday last and plunged head first into the foreboding project of really fine tuning my site.Aside from the site layout, etc...I researched keywords for each article, rewrote said articles in question, wrote keyword into metatags, titles, page titles, so on and so forth.I then used Gsitecrawler to make a new sitemap which then pung (passed tense of ping??) my new sitemap to google and yahoo.My pages are already indexed on google and yahoo.My question is; how long before google starts to take notice of changes in ones website?Is it immediate and so theoretically would mean a quick rise in search engine stragglers, or is it something, in keep with google in general, which may take a long time?I will of course now work on getting my new set of keywords onto inbound links. I'm just curious about this topic at the moment.My site is 3,000+ pages & I see a normal update of new pages within 7-14 days (I would keep that in mind as a standard), there are times of course that a page made it into the SERP's within 2-3 days, However the 7-14 is a bit more accurate on the overall indexing rate.I normally add 1-5 pages per week, Just so you can get the feel for On-Page activity & updates that may reflect the Algorithms Re-Visiting.The time span I gave you reflects my actual Server stats Noting what bot / When / & how long.Hope this helped, at least remotely.... Google crawls high PR sites faster than the lower PR sites because the Google spiders have multiple ways of getting to your site (through links to your site.)
