How do you Rip vB skins?

first you take a place a small cut in the skin and put the knife down. Then you grab where the cut was made and in one swift motion you Rip the skin........Oh dam you ment skinning for vbulletin...the best thing to do is know something about PHP, CSS, html, Photoshop or similar once you get some basics you can start to rip or create your own designs......I will say some stuff is hard to do but once you have it down it comes easliy...ask Hoxxy he is dam good and can do a rip in about hour and thats freaking fast....not like me who takes several weeks and 1000's of hours to do ..but hey we all have to start somehwere.... =)

Hoxxys guide to ripping a vBulletin style:
  • Open browser go to the site that has the skin you want to rip
  • Tap your "Prt Scr" button found top right on your keyboard
  • Open MS paint from the top menu click "Edit >> Paste"
  • Now save
  • Double click on saved image and press Ctrl + P
  • once image has printed take a corner in each hand and with your right hand pull down sharply while leaving your left hand in place.

There you go you just ripped your first vBulltin style.....lmfao

I'm looking for an actual answer, thought I would actually get help, especially from an admin.

Now, can someone give me an actual answer ?

supersoniuc I did give you the correct answer you have to have knowledge of PHP, XHTML, HTML, CSS, Photoshop or equal, Fireworks or Dreamweaver. Open a default vbulletin theme and see how it is coded now do your edits and gfx. I would also recommend your attitude change yes we joked but the answer was given...we owe you nothing.

D4rk in admincp > styles & templates > new style > name it what you want and save it with no parent style. Now you created your style which is just a default vbulletin theme now go into the css and change colors widths and so forth. then save...if you want gfx then while in css find .tcat, background, .thead , tborder etc and change them up ad well. that will start yeah and read the above reference to ripping and coding.
