Ok first of all I want to say that this is the BEST Forum I have gone too and it has the nicest people here.
Anyways....what I wanted to ask, is how to save my HTML file as .shtml
I made a site with two navigatoin menus. (leftbar and rightbar). Now when i save the index file in Notepad, I type in index.shtml, but it comes out to index.shtml.txt
Please can u tell me how to save a file as SHTML? And do I also need to save the left and right bar.shtml too, or can i leave those in html format.
Thanks!In windows explorer, go up to View -> Folder Options. (Or Tools->Folder options), and click on the tab, File Types. Make sure that you have show extentions on, I can't say the exact boxes and stuff cause I'm typing this without my glasses on rigt now, and can barely see anything.OK ThanksJust put quotes around the file when you save it in notepad at that should do the trick.
"myfile.shtml"
You only need to save a file as an .shtml file if it is the file that will contain the SSI commands.
