Making The CMPS Your Homepage, With vBulletin in a Separate Folder
If you have uploaded your vBulletin files and folders into your root directory rather than into a sub-folder on your server, please skip to the section below titled "Running vBa CMPS In The Same Folder as vBulletin".
If you, like the majority of our users, want to make the CMPS the first thing your members see when they type in your domain AND you have placed your vBulletin files and folders in a sub-folder on your server, this is the section for you.
1. Remove any index.* (index.html, index.php, etc) files that you currently have in your root directory where you uploaded the cmps_index.php file.
2. Rename the cmps_index.php file that you uploaded into your root directory to index.php.
3. Login to your Admin CP and navigate to vBa CMPS => Default Settings => Main Options => CMPS URL. Change this setting to "/index.php" (without the quotes).
Your vBadvanced CMPS file should now be the first thing your members see when they type in your domain.
Note that if you have any .htaccess files in your root directory and you experience problems where typing in your domain takes you somewhere besides the CMPS (such as your forums), you may need to remove or alter the .htaccess file to prevent the redirection.
