How do I get data from a database into an XML page

I need to access a database and structure the data using XML, with the intentof displaying this in HTML via an XSL template.I'm new to XML, but my whole reason for learning it, is to access databasesand display the information.Please tell me how I can do this, I know data can be got using ADO, but Idon't know where to start. Everytime I search for ADO, I find ASP or XMLinstead.Help !
