OK... this isn't strictly a HTML question...
But... I'm hoping someone can give me a few pointers.

Can someone tell me how I can do this graphics on the menu bar for the following website:

http://www.appliedlanguage.com/

OK... it's nothing special!
But... how do I get the 3D effect?
And what's the best way to put a shadow in?
(The shadow does not seem to be part of the whole image.)

Any help/pointers would be really appreciated.

Thanks.
JamI had a look at your site and save the site so that I could get the images.

one of the images I did up and was wondering if this is how you wanted it.

What i did is I used Photoshop CS (any version of photoshop will do) to put in an "effect". you will find this in the layers palate at the bottom with a "f" in a black circle. I used "Drop shadow" on this image.

anyway please find the nav bar I did up for you attached (notice that it is 100 times smaller in file size to the origanal?, I used "Save for web" feature to bring down the size)Erm, you're right, this isn't an HTML question. This would be a question for people good with graphics that might not look here. Try posting in the Graphics Forum (http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/forum ... &forumid=6) for help, as it will probably differ depending on what graphics program you are using.
