I started working on designing my first website a couple months ago. I had an image in my head of what i wanted it to look like, so i started by coding the logic (all php and database stuff) and figured i would follow with the css.So now that im at the css part, ive done all the layout and the spacing and am left with the realization that my site looks much more bare and unprofessional than i imagined it would at this point. The trouble is, i don't know where else to go with my css to improve the look further.I bought/read through a couple books on css/design, but one was way too technical (for professional designers) and only focused on advanced details for the finishing touches, and the others i've looked at have poor looking examples in the book, so i didnt really want to find those. My question thus remains, does anyone know of any online resources or books where i could learn basic css design principles for aesthetics, as opposed to a "basic css manual" which would teach me the syntax? Thanks!
