I want to get traffic from Yahoo too.
How can I optimize it? Do I have to follow the same way as google? advice... Definitely your Description tag is important and Yahoo puts a lot of concentration on your Title tag too. Personally I am not sure if description tag helps in Yahoo ranking. It is good for describing the site for visitors.
Get MORE backlinks if you want to get good ranking in Yahoo. You can have traffic in yahoo by participating to yahoo answers you will surely have more traffic.

According to me, If your ON Page Optimization is strong and effective then you can also get traffic from yahoo.. If you are ranked well in Google, then you will rank well in Yahoo and Bing. Build content, build links - all search engines feed off the same basic stuff. If your content is fresh and strong than your site also show in yahoo ranking and little work with yahoo than you will get good ranking and traffic from yahoo also. They say that density is more effective on yahoo also don't forget link building,...And the best thing is you don't have to worry about no-follow and do-follow attribute. Yahoo!'s guidelines are pretty well the same as Google's with the exception of using the keywords meta tag:
