I have this subdomain... and i'm testing how to find a way to get it up on top of the search page of google.. when i type for example webdesign or something like this.. my website is http://www.seuldemon.srv.ro it work partially.. but i was wondering.. what are the best keywords to get the page up there or at least in the first page!?The best keywords are the keywords people search for.you need to study more on seo: http://www.seoearnings.com/se/seo/searc ... timizationyour meta keyword/content and title is important, you need back links, good keyword density in your content... etcOk, First of all you need to know what people are searching for and what is the competion of keywords. For example, I can get my website on the First page, First Line on yahoo and google in a matter of few days once my webpage is indexed. Keyword: "MrPeaceMaker Glossory World"For the above keyword , if there is 0 competetion, then my website will be on first page, first line of google and yahoo. But the que becomes, what good is coming on first page of a search engine for a keyword when no body is searching for it.To provem my point to you further: My new website http://www.realwebhostingpages.com is up and running for the last 1 month only. Search for "web hosting glossory" on yahoo, and my website is appearing as 2nd result on first page:)The word web hosting is very hightly saturated word. But I had made a mistake, I misspelled the word Glossory. Hense, I did beat all the competetion. But is this bringing me traffic. The ans is no. There is no body searching for it:)SO.....Here is Summary:1. Write down the keywords that are applicable to your website.2. Go to http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchi ... uggestion/3. Find what keywords people are searching at yahoo that matches your keywords. 4. Analyse the competion by searching for each keyword in yahoo and google.5. Once you have found the nitch keyword. This is what you need to do to come on first page.5.1 Your Title should have that keyword5.2 Your URL should have that keyword and your URL should be seo friendly.5.3 You should have one H1 tab with that keywordMost likey this will bring you on the first page, But it is not easy. Dont spam, dont pay anybody any money for generating traffic. Dont trick the search engines, bcos sooner or later they will have the last laugh:)Hope this helps:::::::)5.2 Your URL should have that keyword and your URL should be seo friendly. .. what does this mean..And a thing that i had in mind.. is to past all my text in the keyword section.. and divide them by commas.. and at least on of those words should be more or less unique and bring me in the first page...Keywords in url''s dont have as much influence as they once did. People abused it and now the words in the URL have no more value than words on the page.I tend to agree with you.But clean, short urls are nice to have.handaajay15 wrote:

Always make sure you have your chosen keyword /s in the blue title bar at the top of the page with preferably your most important keyword as close to the start of the site description.Make sure you website description box has atleast three of your keywords with some good word text tio seperate them but always make them into a readable sentence describing your site. Keywords throughout your home page content especially one at the start of your text on the top of the page and one at the end at the bottom.Beware however as over use of keywords in your content can get you taken out of the search engine which i ahev found happened to me, as soon as i took some keywords out i regained no.8 position on front page in google.Hope this helps you!http://www.spywaredoctor-4002618.comhttp://www.spywaredoctor-4002618.comFollow these practices :1 ) Make sure your keyword is in title2 ) Make sure your keyword is in H1 tag3 ) Make sure your keyword is the first thing that google discovers in the body of page.4 ) Make sure your keywords are either in Bold, Italics or Underlined.5 ) Don't over stuff the keywords, make it relevant depth of 7-8% is good enought.6 ) Get links from differnt Sites with unique ip - if possible index page.7 ) Use Anchor text for backlinks8 ) Submit Articles with Anchor Text9 ) Submit to directories with High PR with Keyword in title. If you follow this see how fast your ranking increases. Just avoid bad SEO.RegardsExcellent case study was given by handaajay15 ! I hope everyone could understand the importance of a keyword. It should be in accordance with the user not for the sake of search engine.I agree that keywords in url's don't matter in Google, but I think they're still very important in MSN, so it's probably still a good idea to have them.
