How can I Completely remove quoting thread started Please??

Hi,
in my forum I wanted to allow html BUT only for me and my other admin when posting a thread so I wanted to deactivate quoting in my forum.

I tried delteing the quote button and deactivated multiple quotes.....but a member can still type in the url and be able to quote a users post, so I wanted to COMPLETELY BAN quoting in the forum even if a user knows what to type in the address bar but can't find a way but to only dlete the button itself without completly rmoving the option

Don't get me wrong, I would'nt mind someone using quote tags to user for text but wanted to remove quoting a thread post as the html tags and other unwanted text gets quoted insted of what they see when I'm posting a thread

Is there a way to deactivate quoting thread posts or even any posts but keep the quote tags in use

I hope you understand what I mean and have a solution for this

I have never used the HTML for Usergroups plug in, but I will say this, if it doesn't parse the html code when they quote it you shouldnt be concerned.

For example if you post <a href="vbteam.info><img=logo.gif></a> this will link to vbteam and show logo.gif as an image, if a member quotes you saying this and you see the text instead of the logo, I see no reason to worry. I personally think the best option is not to be lazy and use bbcode.

your abselutly right, bbcodes can be created for almost all html codes plus other and am able to do so.....
but as you said, its just me being lazy, lol
anyway I disabled html on the forum now and have created alot of bbcodes myself to use to make the forum more interactive
