What other host ofers +7TB bandwith and 750 GB Space, and unlimited domains for less than 5.00$ or close? MY current host is Site5.comNo other host that I can think of... $5/month? Are you kidding?Site5.com offered it lol.750GB space with a limit of 25000 files. Good luck using that!750GB space with a limit of 25000 files. Good luck using that! You'd be absolutely amazed at how many customers we have that find ways to push the limits on their plans--resource usage policy and all. As long as they aren't breaking the rules, we let them. :)Guess site5 does have a great way to do magic and offer these plans. Wished they told me the magic trick... ;) 7TB tranfer for less as $5 + 750gb diskspace..That's insane, I'll probably sign up just for somewhere to store big files. That's insane, I'll probably sign up just for somewhere to store big files.

Just make sure that you have another backup plan or duplicate copies for those files...I find it sad that anybody who uses so many resources, doesn't want to pay for semi-dedicated, VPS, or dedicated hosting...Good luck on finding this though.I find it sad that anybody who uses so many resources, doesn't want to pay for semi-dedicated, VPS, or dedicated hosting...

Maybe they do not have enough money so they find the cheaper alternative ;)Isn't it selfish though? Also, if you don't have enough money but you use so many resources, either stop using the resources, or get some money.Don't play with fire if you don't have water :) .You'd be absolutely amazed at how many customers we have that find ways to push the limits on their plans--resource usage policy and all. Maybe so but i'd love for you to say you have someone using all of their sources without lieing.

It's not a problem, marketing after all and clearly people buy into it.The mischievous side of me is thinking it'd be worth $50/month to hold 7.5TB of files that are essentially the mostly uncompressible output of dd if=/dev/urandom bs=30k of=filenameThe mischievous side of me is thinking it'd be worth $50/month to hold 7.5TB of files that are essentially the mostly uncompressible output of dd if=/dev/urandom bs=30k of=filename

Good luck with that, many of there servers have less than 250gb drives.

Even many of the newer ones at ThePlanet are still only 750gb with no mounted arrays :)Good luck with that, many of there servers have less than 250gb drives.

Agreed. In my opinion, anyone offering that much disk space and bandwidth is no better than those that offered "unlimited" space and bandwidth, it was just another way of packaging it without saying the word "unlimited" to satisfy the ones who say there is no such thing as "unlimited" (like me).

I am not saying that there is something wrong with it, but it is something that I just would not do...just my two cents for what it's worth.Agreed. I agree somewhat, the only thing I disagree with about the model is even a remote indication that anyone uses anywhere near their limit because it's an outright lie. Specfically when theres not even those kind of resources physically per machine that they put you on.

Other than that the model works for them so all the more power to them.don't buy these "corporate" hostings... there maybe 700GB on the server and which is called "share space", don't mistake it for "shared hosting" basically say they host 700 people and each of them uploads 1Gb file... then there would be no more space.. so believe me $5/m for all that space thats nuts! I pay over $100+ for a third of that!Wow that's so much disk space and bandwidth that I'm starting to think its just an elaborate ploy to make us visit the site and find out we've been tricked in the end....Lol

"There's no free lunch" as what they say..So if the site gives you that much, there must be something wrong or a policy that's not worth signing up for.I thought the package your mentioned for site5.com is actually hosted in a shared server environment. To host +7TB bandwith and 750 GB Space, and unlimited domains is not possible; that is called 'overselling'.
