Horizonal Scrollbar...? please help!

ok, I want to know is there anything you can do to the html document so you can disable the horizonal scrollbar? I still want the vertical one, but not the horizonal one... If you loook at my page in progress... www.heavenleigh.net - you will see the hor. scrollbar is just annoying to have there... but I need the top.jpg image to be long enough so that on wide screens, it doesn't just end mid-page... the problem is, because it's so wide, it makes the horizonal scrollbar come up even though there isn't any content that far to the right... please help! Thanks!
Also keep in mind that it's a website in progress..!you have a table tha tis 700 pixels wide then you have your image that is 799 pixels wide. make your image about 770 pixels wide and then make your table 100%

yes you can hide it but why, that image is making it go wide.I know it's the image thats making it go wide, but if the width of the image ends before the width of the page ends, then that about 20 pixel line right under where it says heavenleigh.net just looks stupid... So is there anyway to just get rid of the horizontal scrollbar altogether?you can do it right you can make it look good in all resolutions. I am on 1024 and it looks funny to see the image go that far and the rest of the page stops.

if you make you iamge as wide as the bottom 2 boxes it will look just fine. so make the image 780 and it will look fine and shouldn't have a scroll bar. I did it and it looks great.

if you need help doing it let me know and I will help you make it look good. without a scrollbar. This code should do it... (add the style argument to your
tag)

style="overflow-x:hidden;"ok... thanks... and the other thing I was thinking is when I make my enter page, I may make my index page be a pop-up, so then I have control over making the image exactly the same size as the page... hmm... :\ I hate getting all picky about little things... lol... oh well, it will be worth it..you can do that now and make it look good to everybody. but your choice :) you have a good start so far, keep it up.

oh and welcome to the forums ;)Thanks! :)does this look better..? www.heavenleigh.netCan't judge if it's any better since I didn't see the first version...
How about adding a pic of yourself to the preview? You gotta think lucrative, when you're selling yourself on the str.. net :) I doubt anybody is going to buy you a camera to join, without having seen you. Isn't the society awfully superficial? :P
Also, 18 is a good age, write that, write that!!
;)lol... well, if you read all my posts... you would have read that its a work in progress... I'm taking all my pics and doing my graphics this coming weekend... so, basically... that space above the logo image will be a neat little graphic thing that I'm gonna put together in photoshop... and yeah... it will be better... hehe... just wanted to get all the boring layout & content stuff out of the way so I can focus on the graphics this weekend... :D Well, I'm 19... isn't that good enough? or am I already going over the hill? lol...lol well i like the site but uhm basically wot are u selling? rofl just a question lol.....wow... well, theres really no good way to answer that question without it sounding really really bad.. lol... basically, I'm a model.. and lots of models have websites showcasing their pictures, etc... It's not like porn or anything if that's what you are thinking... I would really compare it kind of to a webcam site, only with better, high res. pics and a members only section...i hope people who view your site have LCD screens.

the three box design looks neat though. easily navigable.hmmm...Petite, it looks the same but it is in a popup. the bottom scrollbar is still there. the image is still to big as that is why it is making it scroll.hmm... It got rid of the scrolling in my browser.... what did you suggest I do about it? Thanks for letting me knowOriginally posted by scoutt
if you need help doing it let me know and I will help you make it look good. without a scrollbar.ok... thanks!I think I got it right this time!! woohoo... I dunno, does the horizonal scrollbar still show up for you?no scrollbar this time, but the iframe code can be bigger. actually make the left box a little wider and that will push the right box over a bit.

or make the table 100% instead of 700.

it's getting there. :)i know this post is pretty much dead.. but u could make the src file "title".htm instead of "title".txt. with iframes it stops the horizontal scrollbar when its .htm
