What are the concerns when acquiring high PageRank (PR8 or 9) links? Do you think getting links above a certain value trigger any red flags? Or is there still a manual process; if no one notices (fat chance) and reports it to Google, you're in the clear? No it doesn't triggers or raises any red flags if you are getting these high pagerank links, what matters is number of links you are getting. If you are getting too many links in a very short span of time having all of them carrying same anchor text will probably raise the red flag. Do you mean creating many backlincks by forum posting and blog posting can trigger red flag?? i mean if you are getting lots the links from several sites having all of them carrying same anchor text will raise the bar, you can get as many of the links you want from one site this won't bother search engines. According to Google's Matt Cutts, Google will discount inbound links if it calculates they have been bought. He didn't describe the algorithm, of course! nope doesn't trigger anything the higher the better I think that if your website is on the watch list then you might want to use a little caution when getting links above PR7, the problem is that you don't really know if your being stalked by Google. It sucks because I love to get a little aggressive from time to time with my link building, yet I don't want to just waste money trying.
This is why I think that it is better to point these high pr links at a site which has 0 outbound links on the page and then link to your main site from there. Alot of times Google will pass off the same page rank to another site if there are no outbounds on that page. But I guess the only way to know for sure is to just give it a shot, if the page rank last for at least 2 updates then I would say that you are in the clear to do as you please in terms of page rank. First of all you won't be able to get backlinks from a high pagerank site too easily, secondly it's not a Jeopardy if you are getting a good link from a high page ranks as you have to earn it...as no one will give it to you for
