Hi, how many article do you think it's enough to raise 1 keyword to 1 page ?

low competition = x articles ?
med competition = x articles ?
high competition = x articles ?

and the condition if the article content is already have a good content. It is hard to say any number... ranking is the output of many SEO activities which you perform simultaneously. One more thing quality dominates quantity. submitting an article in ezine and buzzle would benefit more than submitting it in low quality article directories. Well, there is no specific number for this.

Even for less competitive keywords, webmasters are making consistent effort to get ranked high. If you know how many articles your competitors are writing only then you can think of specifying the value of 'x'.

I use a tool called ‘Keyword Country’ to keep tabs on the content strategy of my competitors. It reveals which content / article page is pulling how much traffic for the competitors. I believe you can use that here. I think you can reach top 10 with just one article with many deep links. My admittedly amateur understanding is that since the most recent changes to google's algorithm you want to be more careful of duplicate content now anyway. Should you still be thinking in terms of how many places you can publish articles? Would it be a better approach now to write one good article and publish it in the best quality site you can find, and then work on a second good quality article?
