Hi, how can I add templates onto HTML ?

NO TEXT<!--content-->well templates are html, so it is how can you add your info to the template.<!--content-->It says on one of the tutorials that u just upload it, but how?<!--content-->you take one of the templates, depending on the name, and rename it index.html. then you take you ftp program and you connect to your host to upload. you then goto your site and type your url in and walla, you have your template.<!--content-->
