When my site got restored from the server change on 11 in November, my message board - which was reinstalled, didn't work, now I'm trying to reset my password and it's telling me it's already in progress. My board is dead in the water and I need to start a new thread ASAP.

Can anyone help?
You should be able to access / reset the password in cpanel via phpMyAdmin and editing the MySQL database.

Hi MusicFrisk,

Yes, Invision encypts your password, producing a 40 digit 'hash' of your password. In your database, it must contain that 40 digit number, you cannot just enter a password 'joeblow' (I've tried before).
Do you have access to another IPB forum, where you can create a user and password, then look at the database and note that p/w for the actual name you created? If so, you can then enter that password 'hash', into the forum you are trying to get in, then go and log in using that associated password.

If not, I can create a password on one of my IPB, then I can PM you that name and it's encrypted hash, for you to use.

HTH, Tom
