I'm having a tough time with figuring this site out.
I did a quick search on online lpn programs, and the site onlinelpnprograms.com came up
in position 2 in Google.
I did some research on the site to understand why it's ranking so high,
and all I can see is that there seems to be the right density of keywords,
the title tag contains the primary keyword, and the URLs are all static and also contain keywords.
All of this is great, but when I checked the number of in-bound links, there were none
Is this right? How does a site, seemingly without a lot of content, rank in position two on a relative popular keyword with 0 in bound links? Am I just missing something here?
Does the site showing Google Adsense ads have anything to do with this? Perhaps but there are site who did not need a link building in able to have traffic. One thing is that if the site content is too strong and its quality stands out, search engine like Google will give it a special ranking plus the age of a site is one thing to be considered. It's all about the content
Even if the site is only a PR2, the search term you used is relevant with their content.
Btw, they do have 1 backlink from ezinearticles.com: http://www.google.com/search?q=link...oe=utf-8&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1MOZA_en I have done some testing in this and keywords in the URL seem to be huge...
