Help required in understanding G SEO after recent changes

Hi all,I have been learning SEO for the last 2-2.5 years and learnt a great deal from forums like OZZU.However, after the recent G changes, everything I have learnt seems to have gone upside down.Here's my dilemma. My site (appleton-estates*com) is over 1 year old and for 6-7 months before the recent G changes it was ranking in the top 5 for "estate agents reading" and it was in the top 2 for "estate agents maidenhead".The site has a PR of 5 and approx 1500 BLs (shown in Yahoo). I think I rank first for allinanchor: command. I have my titles etc set up properly, no bad neighbours, no blact hat SEO.However, after the recent G changes I have gone down to 9 for "estate agents reading" and down to 6 for "estate agents maidenhead". Some of the sites that rank above me don't even have properly set titles, some of them have PR3, etc.Now these are still not bad positions, so I am not concerned about where I rank. More importantly I am really concerned about why I have lost so much ground and whether this downward trend would continue with the next updates.I would appreciate any opinions on this.It might be because some of your backlinks being dropped in the recent backlink update. Google tend to ignore links from unrelated sites now, or at least give them very little importance.the only thing to do is get more backlinks from related sites and use your keywords in the anchor text.I still seem to show more BLs in G than the others ranking above me. That's is the annoying bit. I show nearly 3/4 times more BLs than most of the sites ranking above me.By the way, do the BLs from the forum weigh as much? I am an active member of my local forums and regularly post. I also post to real estate related forums too.Some backlinks on some forums will count a little, But they wouldnt be worth as much as a one way link from a authoritive related site.When you search google with the link: command it will indiscriminately show links, So it will show links even if they aren't worth much. So if you competition have 100 links from good quality related sites, But you have 1000 links from unrelated sites thier links are worth more.Recently google have been doing welll at spotting quality links, So the saying "quality over quantity" is more true now than it ever was.. Don't worry about the number of backlinks and concentrate of the quallity of your backlinks.Well first of all remove this myth that a site having a higher PR will be ranked high in google. Its just a measure of your link building. The more links you get the more PR.Now, your positions are real good.
