Beeing a complete newbee with Unix, Apache, MySQL and php I'm lost when trying to follow installation instructions. I have read the php manual, MySQL manual, Granmeas instructions for installation and don't now what to do anymore.
I'm sitting with a Win2000 connected to a Apache server. As I can see MySQL is installed in my homedirectory as is php4. MySQL works fine, but I would like to upgrade it to the latest version. The installation of php does't work at all. Something is missing. When I try to use php in my webpages nothing happens, and when I try to print s% the code is printed in the webbrowser.
My webpages resides in a directory called /public_html in my homedirectory.
Any help appreciated.
