Can someone please help me out. I posted similar question on this forum a few days ago and for some reason my post never showed up. Basically I am trying to make my forum (MAIN PAGE) to have no topics/categories at all. I am trying to find out how for days now but so far no one was able to helpe me out. Let me give you an example. When someone logs in into my website www.mywebsite.com I want them to see ONLY threads!

Title ----> (General Discussion)

---> thread

---> thread

---> thread

---> "

and so on ...

I would appreciate if anyone could help me!

Thank you!

Are you using Vbulletin? If so, go to yoursite.com/admincp/index log into your admin panel and then click on Forum and Moderators and add forums as needed.

na i guess he want something that is imposible he want to show the insides of a subforum in the outside o-ô that's a weird request and think is truly impossible you're the first person that ask something like that

No offense but how dumb do you think I am ? I am aware of the admin panel and the Forums & Moderators section in vBulletin BUT if you ever tried to add a forum what you are going to end up is TOPIC/CATEGORY and I said CLEARLY I dont want to have ANY topics/categories. I don't want people clicking on GENERAL DISCUSSION and then opening new thread inside. I want members/unregistered members to be able to simply go to www.mywebsite.com (MAIN PAGE) and to be able to post new thread right away!

No it's NOT impossible! I might not be famaliar with vBulletin but I am smart enough to understand that when it comes to programming/scripting everything is possible! Please if you don't know that answer yourself don't generalize it for everyone else. I will try to find forum (I don't think they are using vBulletin) that done just that! I am sure there are people on this forum who know how to solve this.

: D ok i guess you will stop recieving answers, ok yup it's possible I know the question is WHO will made that for you and with such actitude, ok know that you know a little programming, then read a little more and make it yourself cya

My attitude? Maybe you need to reevaluate your own attitude! Why should I be polite to someone who comes here to tell me and everyone else it's impossible? You don't don't simply tell someone no one can help you especially to someone in need. IT IS RUDE! If you don't yourself know the answer just don't post.

i think u mean this... like having a main forum with sub forum? when you adding a forum go find the option that say act as a forum click no.

stainslav - do not take such offense to this...members try to help out and sometimes it works and others it does not. Your request is a strange one but I believe the type of forum your looking for is myphbb,IPB, SMF. There you can create what you need but vbulletin is currently not set as such..you would have to do a great deal of modification and is not worth it. May I suggest trying a portal or even a blog where members can either sign in or just review and post without problems. Unregistered members and members not signed in will not be able to edit any mistakes.

Now as far as the attitude yes you have one and is not becoming from someone with only 12 post and 4 of them are here. If you know how to code or are fimilar with PHP, XHTML,DHTML,ColdFuison,Borla,CSS2 then you should do ok.

Do NOT attack the members here as nothing is owed to you and any imput should be welcomed not met with discontent. I have answered your problem and gave you the forums to use for your request.

Itsuki is a respected member and will be treated as such along with the rest of the members here.

Admin or Mod please close this thread...Thanks
