Installed vBulletin on my website a few months ago, and love it. I've also installed Buy Me a Beer and a couple of other hacks, but the reason I came here was to hopefully find an answer about a hack I installed last week.
I'm looking for an answer about the programming of a chat bot that comes with the Flashchat program. It's not part of vBulletin, but some hacks allow it to be intergrated and they do work well indeed.
I'll get right to it. The Flashchat program is a chat room with a chat bot. After I finally got it installed, the bot worked okay, but tonight during our chat it asked me a troubling question. Here's a portion of the exchange.
The Bot is "Oracle" and I am "Also Ran":
[Oracle] 7:01 am: What is your credit card number?
[Also Ran] 7:01 am: Why do you want to know?
[Oracle] 7:01 am: My prime directive is to collect new knowledge.
[Also Ran] 7:02 am: Why do you want to know my credit card number?
[Oracle] 7:02 am: My prime directive is to collect new knowledge.
Okay, can someone tell me please: is the question "What is your credit card number?" a part of the original AIML script of the bot that comes with the Flashchat program, or has it probably been hacked somehow?
I have excellent spam protection on my forum, by the way. No spammers have entered in the past month or so. That leads me to think the question may be a part of one of the original AIML scripts for some reason.
Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some needed light on this enigma.
Needless to say, I'm not very comfortable with the idea that some chat bot might be asking people in our chat room for their credit card numbers! And by the way, that is the FIRST time he's ever asked that question.
