I hate CSS, I hate HTML, and I hate my computer!!!!!!
I have been working on this thing, and apparently, I can't do a thing right. I don't know much about programming, so please be gentle.
Here is the template: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gettingfreestuff.com/index4.html">http://www.gettingfreestuff.com/index4.html</a><!-- m -->
The CSS is at: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gettingfreestuff.com/stylesheets/styles.css">http://www.gettingfreestuff.com/stylesheets/styles.css</a><!-- m -->
Anyway, I have three MAIN problems that I can't figure out. Most importantly, how do I align that date and "This is the content" parts so it's just to the right of the grey sidebar, instead of BELOW it and to the right? I want it so that the grey bar is always that size (128 pixels), and the content/dates boxes adjust with the user's screen size.
Next, how can I make it so that the grey sidebar and the content are VERTICALLY the same? If there is more stuff in the content box, I want the sidebar to extend itself along with the content.
Last, and a minor annoyance is the "menu" box.... The two tabs and the "Menu Menu Menu" part should be touching the top of the "Link 1 Link 2 Link 3..." bar. I can't get it to do that!!
I'm going to go find the vodka now... HTML and CSS are not programming languages. I just thought I would mention that.
Your second problem cannot be solved, as content boxes only expand to the content located within them or the set dimensions through CSS. If there is more content in one box than another, and that amount of content is unknown, there is no way to cause another box to have the same dimensions as if it had the same content.
Edit: Perhaps you wouldn't mind me re-doing your HTML and CSS for a small fee? You said yourself you're not a programmer. (Or perhaps you'd like a complete redesign...again? Just a thought. I might be able to make things look a bit better.) I might assist you with your problems, but I wouldn't fix all of these HTML errors and fix up your accessibility for free. Not when there's this much to do. Please consider the offer and send me a PM if interested. Thanks.
