i have a huge problem for my web site, im trying to creat 2 links on the same text but i cant figure out how? i could really use some help or sum web tutorials!!!!!:confused:two links from the same text?

this was just asked like last week.

opening in new windows or what?

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"whatever.htm" onClick="window.open('somethingelse.htm')">MY GOD THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya in a new window for one, in the same for the otherer... no problem:jamin:what if i want the second one (onClick etc...)
in a frame? can i do that?
like a taret?<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"whatever.htm" onClick="document.all.iframename.src='somethingelse.htm'">oh, i thought this worked...

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"http://www.yahoo.com" target="new window" onClick="window.open('http://www.google.com')"
target="main"> click here ah, you want the link to change the source of an iframe IN a new window.

that is slightly more complicated.

you can use this script by UCM (http://24.238.145.39/morrowasted/v9/cut ... ipts/1.txt) from my website to open as many windows as you want and do whatever you like with them ;)what do i put in

document---> ???
all--------> ???
irfamename-> the name of my frame...

does this work??

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"http://www.yahoo.com" onClick="window.open('http://www.google.com')"
target="main"> click here eh? no, just use the exact code i gave you except change "iframename" to the name of the iframe you want to changeok thanks, cool

now i can finish this thing

oh and even after the onClick="window.....etc
if i put target="whatever" it still works

but the code u showed me is alot easier to use
thanks...Heh!
I think it should be made a sticky not reallydreamwaver sux, this whole link thing we did isnt taken by dreamwaver, the programe wants nothing to do with double linking. stupid programe

LongLive RAW PROGRAMING ( or front page )well i just tried it in dreamweaver and it worked for me:oya but the one at school doesnt work properly, cuz i tried it, many times, in diffrent ways, and of cours i asked the th teacher : WTF!!!! and he said, ya its ok, the mx doesnt run right on win98, but whate ever.

i put the same freakin code.

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"barprofile.htm" onClick=" document.all.mainframe.src='bgprofile.htm'">profiles

thats the code i put at school tell me if sumtin is wrong, cuz the teacher dont know whts wrong, he doesnt even know what im writing

thanks again.omg, dont tell me that i had to put onclick in a lower case only... cuz if i do, then im gonna super pissed, like pissing all over the walls pissed. :ak47: :anykey: :luke: :chainsaw:  :sniper:  :thumbdn:Originally posted by hoaxe
<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"#" onclick=" document.all.mainframe.src='bgprofile.htm'">profiles

and it doesn't matter if it is lowercase or notwell it doesnt work.
i really think its because the dream waver mx doesnt work right with windows 98on front page the code says that document.all.mainframeis null or not an object ?????

and i cant target onclick="window.open('#')"

so if guys dont know what your talkin about, plz tell me now, cuz i dont seem to be making any progress, or maybe you guys dont understand what i want???

tell if some thing is not clear to you. :)heres the setting: 2 frames

frame frame

_1________2_____
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
----------------

now in frame 1 there is a link :

_________________
|.....|............|
|.link|............|
|.....|............|
|.....|............|
|.....|............|
------------------

now when i click on that link, i need that frame one AND frame 2 change at the same freakin time

new frame new frame

_1______2___
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
|...|............|
----------------for one you say Dreamweaver sucks, well Front page is no better. so with that said lets continue.

use this instead.

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"barprofile.htm" onclick=" parent.right_frame.location='bgprofile.htm'">profiles

change right_frame to the name of the right frame.

so no Gregory wasn't right :P sorry Greg LOLscout, YOU ARE A GOLDEN GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AFTER MANY HOURS OF FIDDLING, YOU COME UP WITH THE SOLUTION, YOU ARE A GOLDEN GOD!!!!!!!!! FOR TOO-LONG HAVE I SEARCHED FOR THIS ANSWEER, AND YOU GAVE IT TO ME.

i answered THAT question correctly

had you gone into detail and stated that you wanted the link to open a different frame and a new window, i could have provided the correct answer;)ok im sorry, it was 1 in the morining when i wrote that, so il remove the vomite face :DI can't believe you talk to these guys like that. They're just trying to help you. EVEN IF they had made a mistake (which they did not), They were trying to solve a problem that you couldn't. You need to be a little more gracious in my opinion.
