What I'd like to do is create a header and footer so that I can update the top and bottom of all my webpages by only altering one file for each.<br />

On past websites I've used JS (example: src=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"footer.txt") to simply embed the html. But if I were to use this method on my current website the header and footer text files would be huge- I have a fairly large menu at the top.<br />

Can you guys recommend something? SSI? JS? Something else?<br />
