Installing phpBB forums.
It keeps saying the database doesn't match w/ the PHP configeration or something like that.
Also other times says cannot connect 2 database?
If anyone has installed phpBB forums,
then plz reply! I really need some help.
PS: My host is DotEasy (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.doteasy.com">http://www.doteasy.com</a><!-- m -->)The exact error messages would be more helpful. However, it sounds like you havent set up a config file to match your database.
Your database info should include 3 things:
Hostname
Username
Password
Find out from your web host what these are.
Then, somewhere in your phpbb setup, you need to add those 3 pieces of info so that the phpbb program can connect to the database. If phpbb, or any other db-dependent program, doesnt have that information, they cant connect.Well ~ okay I tried different databases from the options
on the PHPbb. Some said all this stuff and "couldn't connect to database."
A few others simply said "Your PHP configuration doesn't match the database" or something similir.
I should have saved the text.nm I got it fixed;
The problem? I guess no spaces allowed in name
phpBB isn't that good, btw ~ stick w/ Ivision Power Board Forums.I like the XMB board...just wish it had avatars included.
