Quote: A couple of months ago, I wrote a post suggesting that bloggers could basically ignore optimizing their sites for Bing. My rationale was that Bing/Yahoo generated such a small percentage of total traffic to a sampling of blogs that I analyzed that it did not really merit a significant effort. This advice is probably still appropriate if your target keywords are competitive generic terms related to topics along the lines of blogging, affiliate programs, SEO, etc.

However, a post I recently wrote that targets a "news" related item ranks on the first page on Yahoo (which is powered by Bing), while the first news page of Google is filled with nothing but links to mainstream media outlets. This result demonstrates that the specific keyword term you are targeting has an impact on which search engine offers better rankings. The increased weight the Google algorithm is placing on domain weight has tilted the playing field for news related queries so far in favor of main stream media that the results returned are nothing but a collection of plain vanilla sites.

The specific term that was targeted in the blog post was... Continued at: http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/bing-blog-love.html

Your thoughts? Backup your response also. Don't post a yes or no answer without backing that up a little. Google loves brands. Bing and Yahoo's algorithm is definitely not as fine tuned as Google therefore they almost always come up with irrelevant results showing sites without much merit.

Almost nobody uses them and therefore, they don't send you any traffic at all. It is a waste of time if anyone optimizes their site for Bing and Yahoo. Quote: Originally Posted by snakeair http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum...blogger-friendly-than-google.html#post1794226

Your thoughts? Backup your response also. Don't post a yes or no answer without backing that up a little. This is because as people focus on the site that has more content for their search and one can promote more content through blogs and articles. so people used to refer the blogs more with a view to get more detail information for their search. And so by this reason for attracting more people to itself and also for getting the more users , bing has changes its algorithm for showing the more results with the blogs. Seriously this is correct. Bing is indexing my articles earlier than Google. Google taking like 30hrs to index my posts. I think recently Bing improved it's algorithm. I myself love the algorithm of Bing for ranking and indexing results more than Google in some cases. I think Google was better some months ago but now Google has some problems in my opinion. Yeah Google is having some problem for sure Google's algorithm is a way better than what Bing and Yahoo have. So I don't think Bing will make it.... After reading the blog post i posted on here, you still going to go with this response? Work process, stats, indexing and listing search engines as far my knowledge and experience till now I don't think that even by becoming blogger friendly results listing in Bing will help to get on top in Google. Recently I often read blogs and posts where Google is being compared to Bing, no doubt Bing has few of its features which users and specially webmasters are looking to get in Google in order to reach visitors but the fame of Google and its usability by users can't be denied.
As mentioned on the blog post over the title that the one with keywords used in it, ranks top in Yahoo/Bing while Google ranks brands or famed blogs/websites, I think it's not actually that Google just supports brands or famous blogs or news sites, it's probably the trust that those sites have created by frequent quality blog postings. I am sure if other bloggers too will work accordingly that is posting high quality user friendly posts discussing each section that would and could be related with it then soon they will start ranking on top results. Not sure over whether Google believes on running as search engine principles or its own but it is doing the same thing that webmasters or a user does and that is as we as a user or a webmaster focus Google first for marketing and even for searching because similarly it too have become a brand and an engine for search we believe. Well I can definitely say that Google is much better in indexing and that too specially with blogs. I have had my blog posts indexed in just 5 mins after hitting the publish button (I've also written a blog post about this). There are always a few cases like that.

After the freshness update I think Google has become even better with the blogs. Akash can you pls link me to that post. Bing is almost good search engine and have announced he loves to quality with content its not big issue that some text crawled by bing before Google but still people are looking to crawl their content in Google. Why? Ans. Comparison of both though this post as a great search engine
