Guests First Post Only

Description:
This mod only shows the first post of a thread to guests. After it displays the first post, it then displays a message telling the guest to login or register.

Installation:
All the installation information is in the package.

Changes:
2 Templates
10 Plugins
4 Phrases
 
Great mod, I have it installed on 2 forums and I depend on it a lot. My question is can it be applied to the moderated users user group as well?

What happens is I have information I only want available to registered users that I clear. Someone can go through the registration process and end up in the moderated users user group. They can't post but they can read the whole threads before I decide whether to let them in the forum or not. Is there a way to apply the guests first post only hack to everyone except registered users, moderators, and administrators? Thanks.
 
I found the following info. The responses are by the maker of the hack.

Nearly anything is possible . You'll have to edit the plugins yourself as it is not default functionality and is not intended to be.

I need the subscribed users (usergroup 9) to be able to see the full posts in forums 6 ,7, 8 and 9 but registered users only see the 1st post

Please can you point me in the right direction as to what i need to alter as I may need to add other forums to the above list

You'll need to edit most of the plugins for the product. Change the guest checks into usergroup checks. Change the conditionals that check if a user is a guest into one for usergroups...

I changed in the product xml file every entry of

$show['guest']

to

"is_member_of($bbuserinfo,1,2,3,4,8)"

I then reimported the product

but now even subscribed users (9) or Admins (6) cant see any replies

Have I replaced one somewhere I shouldnt ???
