Google Voting!

Something I noticed on my google toolbar...go to options-more (tab)under under "web buttons" there is an option to enable voting buttons.Im unsure what it does but it sends something to google whenever you vote good or bad for a website...anyone have some more insight onto this?I think it's another way of letting Google basically find pages. If there's a new site up that nobody's linking to, but it has good (or bad) content, it can learn of their existence. I don't know if it has any specific bearing on how high Google rates your site (but I don't know, it might)..I've never found any real documentation abou it either, but I figure like I said above. If nothing else, Google could be using it simply as another method to find URLs it doesn't know about yet.maybe...The feature is pretty new, it came with the new google toolbar about two months ago (~November maybe?).I would think that if enough people click on the symbols for a single site to make it statistically significant (i.e., >10000 different IP addresses voting), then why not take those results into account to modify the search result?Actually clifffrog I believe it has at least been around since the beginning of last year. Ever since I have had the Google Toolbar installed I have seen i there in the options, and it has been over a year since I really started getting heavy into Google.
