Hi GuysCompletely at a loss at the moment. My site has been in the top search results for my keywords on MSN and Yahoo for months now but I am struggling so much with Google. I managed to get the site into the top results for a few of the keywords for a couple of months, now it seems the site has nearly all but disappeared from Google and I have no idea why!Have read through many of the posts on here and acted on lots of the information but still not seeing any improvement. Really at a loss as business has completely dropped since I disappeared from Google and need to get the site back on track. Any help would be really appreciated. I also track about 300-400 keywords over about 50 sites and many of my keywords have completely dropped off the map. This happens from time to time in Google. I always tell people to just be patient, as Google is just messing with a few things. If you did proper SEO, your positioning will return. Thanks for your reply, quite comforting to know that it is probably down to Google making changes and not just something I have done! Will just wait and see what happens then, really frustrating though! Thanks againI to have been talking to others, as some of my customers sites have done the same thing. I assured them there ranking would return, but let me ask you a question vetofunk. You seem quite knowledgable about this topic, since we are not being listed right now is it ok to continue doing SEO when we know we wont see any changes for atleast a couple days / weeks? I mean would it still be benificial? Or would it be best to wait to ensure you can really check out your rankings and such?As long as you are doing clean "white hat" SEO, then just keep doing what your doing. Just don't make any drastic changes to the site to try to change things...yet. I can never say that this recent Google change will be just like the rest I have encounted, but I am going to continue to roll on with what I have always been doing and expect much of my positioning to come back.Well as a SEO consultant, I dont ever do any black hat SEO thanks for the heads up though! How often does this happen? And how long does it last?It can last for months. For me at least thats how long it was.It may be due to google dance. How old is your website? And also now PR update is going.there may be many fluctuation in SERPs.Give few weeks,it will reappear again beckylou wrote:What is the "-950" penalty/update/flux all about?Lots of people are seeing some of their keywords drop out of the index completely.I am guessing it has to do with the keyword tracking software they use, because when my keyword drops out of existance with the software i am using, I actually get a "-9999".My advice to all on-line shops webmasters is not to try to use excessive SEO techniques for selling their products. It's a very risky thing.I almost think that static urls for shopping carts systems is a very very bad thing! One reason is that almost every product that is to be sold comes and go and it's page won't be a permanent one. (of course there are many other reasons)I recommend you Article Marketing !May be it is due to the google dance...I am not sure though but it happens sometimesSame problem here ! Dropped from top 10 to page 6-7 on many keywords overnightGlad to know its not just me.. If your content is clean, you have adopted no black hat optimisation tricks and you have not made any drastic changes to your site the placements in Google should come back somewhere near over time, it all takes time!JamesBella Bathrooms | UK Bathroom ShopShower Pumps Showers Bathroom Taps Towel Rails
