can anyone tell me?what is the use of google spider simulator and how to add anchor text in the website?..i am looking forward your replies. As for "Anchor Text," this is not something that is "added" to a page, but rather an optional element in a hyperlink text that will be displayed to a viewer in place of the raw URL itself.

Here are examples of a link without and with the Anchor Text "Penn State Ticket Man."

Code: <a href=http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/"http://www.hounddogtours.com"></a> Code: <a href=http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/"http://www.hounddogtours.com"> Penn State Ticket Man</a>To the viewer, they would be displayed, respectively, as

http://www.hounddogtours.com
and
Penn State Ticket Man

Regarding crawlers/robots/spiders, they are no more than that part of a browser that simply requests that a server send it a copy of a resource.

An emulator of such merely shows you what the indexing engine will see as being the content alone of a resource; i.e., without the code.

Such is, in essence, no more than a text only browser. Thus, no special tools are here required.

A good text only browser to use is LYNX.
