google site search

I thought it would be nice to put some sort of site search function on my site ( http://www.markrhodes.us/index1.htm ), and saw the free google site search as the easiest way to do it. however, after putting it on and doing a couple of test searches it seems that google only has 5 pages from my site indexed (not much good to only search 5 pages now, is it?)My question is, why would this be? After reading some info from the google site I think it may be due to my navigation format on the site. Most of the links between pages are done via a DHTML menu rather than standard HTML links. Could it be that the google web crawler does not read these DHTML links and therefore does not find these pages? If this is the case, is there some workaround for this matter? I was thinking I could create one HTML page with a link to each page in the site in order to get google to read the links and find the pages. But that would be a pain in the arse and I'm not even sure it would work. Another fix would be to do away with the DHTML linking system, but I'm not inclined to scrap my entire navigation setup for the sake of a google search function.Anyway, just curious what ideas or thoughts might be floating around out there. Thanks for anything you can share!allgoodpeopleI recently found myself a php search function that looks through your META tags. Perhaps that would be a way to go ?well when i went to your site, i kept getting this:Quote:you're right, alot of stuff isn't up yet *lol* it's been a long work in progress as i get time. however, i do have several pages of web log material that do work (actually, the web log portion of the site is about the only part completely finished). i was putting the search in with the idea of finding a given post from the web log. speaking of finished pages, the google search did find text from the photo pages that have been posted. i just can't figure out why none of the web log archive pages are showing up.This Q is a little off topic, but i figure its not worth starting a new thread for.I have some tooltip popups that contain links on my site, will google spider them?I created another pure html page that contains all of the links in the tooltips but in html, will this help google find them?Having a "Site Map" will make it easier for Google and other search engines to spider them, just make sure you have a link on your index page to it. The link doesn't have to visable or a text link, it just has to be there.haha.. i was looking for a site map link at the bottom of this page .. and i've never actually read what the links down there consist of. have you?Thumbnail Creator | PHP Blogs | Free PHP Editor | Freelance Programmer | Hair Removal | Travel Insurance | Mobile Phones | Online Poker Bonus | Online CasinosTop Online Casinos | Gambling Online | Casino en Ligne | Buy Phentermine Online | Buy Viagra Online | Blackjack | Buy Viagra | Casino Gambling haha.. drugs and gambling thats hott
